Birds and Ships Lace Cowl Knitting Pattern

Something soft and lacy for you and your pal for the coming cold season. Cowl is a great way to fend off the first chill of winter because it’s smaller and quicker to knit than your average scarf, giving you something to wear while you work on bigger projects.  This one-skein bandana shaped cowl is knit from the top down, starting with a garter tab cast on. The first section of the pattern is worked flat, then joined in the round and worked in the round for the remainder of the design. The tassel at the bottom point is optional.
