knit poppy flowers are beautiful and can have many different uses. These poppy are mostly worked flat, in garter stitch. Short rows, decreases and wrap & turns shape the petals. By knitting your own flowers, you’ll have pieces of handmade kitchen decor that will last for years! I have never attempted to knit flowers before. I have always crocheted them in the past, but this is a new and challenging project so I am ready to attempt a couple of the ones. The finished knitted poppy looks like it has been knitted in the round. In fact, it has actually been knitted flat and there is no sewing required.
