This hat features a unique construction technique. The body is worked flat, from side to side, with a vertical stripe pattern. Simultaneously, decreases are worked on one end and increases on the other, which gives the hat a parallelogram shape–a rectangle with a slant. When the parallelogram is sewn together, the stripes naturally swirl around the hat.
