The blanket featured is uing 4.5mm needle, cast on 135 stitches, 5 + 5 for the garter border, 3 + 3 for the border with the holes and 119 for the stitch (multiple of 10 minus 1 stitch). Learn more about the project via the link:
Knit Blanket
Written Pattern: Needle 3.0
Cast on 171 stitches, work 7 rows in garter sts.
R8: 5 straight stitches, * 1 yarn over, 2 stitches together, 1 straight stitch *, repeat from * to * until there are 5 stitches left to knit straight (will be used for the border).
R9: knit 5, purl 161, knit 5.
R10++: set the stitches to start the stitch as follows: 5 stitches to work in garter stitch (always knit), 3 stitches to work in stockinette stitch (1 straight needle and 1 purl) and over which to make a buttonhole every 6 rows (1 yarn over and 2 stitches together), 155 stitches on which to make the stitch in the diagram below, 3 stitches to work in stockinette stitch (1 straight row and 1 purl) and on which to make a buttonhole every 6 rows ( 1 yarn over and 2 stitches together), 5 stitches to work in garter stitch (always straight).
Continue in this way until approximately 100 cm.
Before finishing with the border, make the round of buttonholes straight as follows: 5 straight stitches, * 1 yarn over, 2 stitches together, 1 straight stitch *, repeat from * to * until there are 5 stitches left to knit straight.
Finish with a border of 7 rows worked in garter (all straight).
Crochet border:
Crochet a round of single crochet on all 4 sides of the cover. Finally make a round of festoon stitch as follows: 1 sc, * skip 2 sts, in the third point work 9 dc, skip 2 chain stitches, 1 sc * repeat from * to * for the entire edge taking into account that 4 corners, instead of 9 dcs, 15 are worked.
